I had the opportunity to crash one of Pulse News’ hackathons and, among other things, thought about Pulse’s “onboarding” user experience.  So here’s my thought on simplifying the Pulse News first start welcome and instructions.

Contract re-design work for a travel/social app for the iPhone. Fun stuff that required a bunch of initial research into what apps were already out there, the designs they were using and wether or not they were attractive/easy to use/functional. One of many projects done for Irrigation Works; this postcard was designed to go along with their new winterization booking system on the IrrigationWorks.com website.  As a very season and weather dependent business, the card had to grab attention and get customers to the site to book their own sprinkler winterization service. Vaykay – Where you go to vacation! The idea for Vaykay really started from a family member needing a web page with a payment gateway like paypal or google checkout to easily take credit card payments instead of just a listing service for his vacation rental property. And so brbo.biz was born..  yes, a total rip off from the site that initally listed the property vrbo.com. Fortunately, LOTS of people search for brbo instead of ...

Eight page media kit design for DOTmed’s print and online advertising options. Working with Dotmed’s art director I completed the layout and design of the 2009 – 2010 media kit for their sales team. The most challenging thing about the media kit was fitting all the print and web information the client provided into the amount of space they specified. ..and of course presenting it in some coherent way. The result was a clean and shiny(cause they ...
